FCC Information Needs of Communities Report

Since January 2010, the FCC has been researching the future information needs of communities through its docket on the future of media. At the start of this docket, the FCC had very little understanding or knowledge of the great work being done by state public affairs networks across the country. Over the past year, members of the NAPAN board of directors have been providing details to the FCC on how we operate, how we are similar and how we are different. In their report the FCC embraces the concept of state public affairs networks and calls for the establishment of a state public affairs network in all 50 states.
