Get Deep inside the State Budget with Connecticut Network’s
Budget Day Coverage
Hartford, CT – With the state’s fiscal crisis looming, all eyes are on Budget Day at the State Capitol this Wednesday. The Connecticut Network will be on hand with comprehensive, day-long coverage of this important milestone in this year’s state budget process.
“It seems that everyone feels they have a stake in the budget this year; everyone’s worried about it,” according to William Bevacqua, network Director of Communications & Marketing. “Consequently we feel our sense of obligation to help citizens stay connected even more keenly than we usually do. As more and more people want to be connected to the policy process, CT-N is prepared to be there for them.”
CT-N’s Diane Smith will host the network’s Budget Day telecast starting at 9:30 a.m. The anticipated customary budget preview from the Office of Policy and Management will appear in its entirety, followed by Governor Malloy’s budget address to the General Assembly at Noon (time approximate) and reactions from Republican and Democratic legislative leaders. Other invited guests will provide background and context on the governor’s proposed budget and the ongoing budget process.
In addition to the live telecast, CT-N will re-air the day’s events Wednesday evening; check CT-N’s daily schedule for details. The program will also be available On Demand at CT-N.com.
CT-N is available full-time on U-Verse channel 83 and on expanded basic cable statewide. Visit ct-n.com to find the channel location for the network in your community or to watch online. All Connecticut Network programming is closed captioned for the hearing impaired.
